Hays County Commissioners Court Proclaims Ty Harrington Day in Hays County

 

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Commissioners Court proclaimed May 13 as Ty Harrington Day in Hays County in recognition of the Texas State University’s baseball coach’s 500th NCAA baseball game win (April 23, 2014 against Baylor University) and his dedication to the community.

Coach Harrington is the winningest baseball coach in the history of Texas State University. He joined the university in 2000 and has been named conference coach of the year twice during his tenure. Among his many prior successes are playing baseball for the University of Texas, participating in three College World Series from 1984 to 1987 and serving as captain of the 1987 College World Series team.

Below, the Hays County Commissioners Court joined many other friends and supporters of Coach Harrington, holding youngest daughter Alle, following the announcement of May 13 as Ty Harrington Day in Hays County. Standing next to him is oldest daughter Melaine and wife Leila holding daughter Emma.
