On Friday September 27, 2013, Hays County officials joined the Texas Department of Transportation, with State Representative Jason Isaac in attendance, in hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of work on RM 150, as well as frontage road improvements on I-35, in Kyle.  The $3.5 million project straightened RM 150 to enhance operations at the intersection of I-35 and improved access to FM 150 from the east side of I-35.  Work on the realignment project began in September 2012 by Capital Excavation Company, of Buda.  In addition, a $6.3 million I-35 frontage road reconstruction and ramp revision project was completed.  Crews constructed a southbound frontage road at RM 150 and converted the I-35 frontage roads to one-way between FM 1626 and RM 150.  Work on the frontage road project began in August 2012.  The project contractor was Hunter Industries, of Hunter Texas.
