Please read below before bringing your items to a Center Hays County Recycling and Solid Waste Disposal CentersHays County is dedicated to responsible disposal and recycling and operates two recycling centers in conjunction with its solid waste disposal centers. These facilities are designed to help Hays County residents contribute to a less wasteful lifestyle through recycling and to help keep our county free of trash. Please help us keep these sites clean and recycle only what is accepted. If the recycling bins are full, please notify attendant. Leave trash in the designated areas for trash.State law requires all incoming loads to be completely covered so that no materials blow off or fall off of a vehicle. Violators will be assessed a $10 surcharge. Solid Waste Disposal Fees as of February 2011 Hazardous materials are not recyclable at the Centers. Here’s how you can dispose of them safely. Brush is not accepted at either Center; commercial waste and recycling is accepted only at the Wimberley facility.

At our disposal/recycling stations these items have their own specific locations for deposit, so please take this into consideration when loading your vehicle:
Locations/Hours of Operation: Both locations open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (no lunch closure) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
