County Road 266 Set for Repairs

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Transportation Department will ramp up its work on County Road 266 from Francis Harris Road south to the county line beginning Thursday, July 10. Crews began preparing the right-of-way along the route on July 7 by removing grass, trimming trees and installing erosion controls.

When that work is done, the crews will begin repairing damaged roadway and installing new base material so that some areas can be repaved. Shoulders will be widened where right-of-way permits.

During the construction, expect one-lane traffic with flaggers during work hours. Both lanes will be open during non-work hours. The repairs are expected to be completed by the middle of September.

Questions should be directed to the Hays County Transportation Department at 512-393-7385 or Precinct 1 Commissioner Debbie Gonzales Ingalsbe, 512-393-2243.
