Hays County allows private and or public entities temporary license to use the Courthouse Grounds from time to time; in order to promote a sense of community and the livelihood of the San Marcos town square. Normally, there is no fee, however; a deposit may be required should it be determined that County Maintenance resources would be required during or after the requested event. A detailed event plan will be required before the event occurs.
Please fill out the attached form and submit your request to use the Courthouse Grounds. Please submit your request with enough time in advance for review by this office and the County Judge. If you are submitting a request for an event, please give five (5) business days advance notice to our office. If you are submitting a request for a general function, please notify our office prior to the event to make sure the function doesn't conflict with other events.
