Hays County Clerk’s Office Substation Now Open in Kyle

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – For the first time in County history, residents of Hays County now have access to almost all County Clerk services at a location other than San Marcos, the County seat.

“With the opening of a substation at the Precinct 2 Office in Kyle, we’re bringing County Clerk services more conveniently to residents of Hays County,” County Clerk Liz Gonzalez said. “We realize that it can be difficult for some individuals to drive all the way to San Marcos and we’re pleased we can offer our primary services at an additional location. We hope to provide additional substations in the future.”

The Kyle substation offers the same services as the main office at the Hays County Government Center in San Marcos, with just a few exceptions.

“We’re not able to offer plat map printing or Issuance of writs at the Kyle office, and only credit and debit cards are accepted there,” Gonzalez said. “But, our most popular services, such as marriage licenses, vital statistics and citation issuance, as well as many others, are all available.”

The substation is located in the Precinct 2 Commissioners Office, 5458 FM 2770 in Kyle, phone 512-393-7330. Office hours are the same as the main office at the Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos – 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
