AUSTIN — The Texas Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Hays County and the Federal Highway Administration, will conduct an open house to discuss the proposed construction of an extension to Robert S. Light Boulevard from FM 967 to FM 1626.

The proposed project would consist of constructing an approximate two-mile extension of Robert S. Light Blvd. and would be constructed on a new location. It includes the acquisition of additional right-of-way for an ultimate four-lane divided section and construction of an interim two-lane extension. The purpose of the project is to enhance safety and improve mobility in the project area by providing an alternate route for truck traffic bypassing downtown Buda.

Project team members will be available to discuss the proposed improvements and answer questions. No formal presentation will be given and attendees are invited to come-and-go at their convenience.
